Points for the brave
Every dive pays 1,000 Krill. The first 500 dives are Founding Legends and pay double. Consecutive-day dives add +10% per day, capped at +50%.
Remix your pod
Put a Relic on another whale you own — same slot only. Metadata is rewritten on this server and OpenSea refreshes automatically. Every dived whale keeps a permanent Legend card.

Krill is points, not a token. The ledger is append-only on this server and can move on-chain later.
Lab rules
- Same slot only. Head → Head, Body → Body. Five slots: Backgrounds, Skin, Body, Face, Head.
- Owner of record only. You edit whales you hold right now.
- 200 🦐 per swap and a 24h cooldown per whale after every apply.
- No duplicates. No two whales may end up with an identical 5-trait set.
- Swapped traits return to your Relics. Filling a none-type slot ("Bald", "None") is an add — nothing returns.
- 1/1s are frozen. #1, #1000, #2068 and #10000 never dive and are never edited.
- Listing warning. OpenSea can cache metadata for a while after a swap — check the whale page before listing.
For the team
The Deep works today without any owner action — the site renders forged traits itself. One transaction from the contract owner makes OpenSea (and every marketplace) show them too.

emitBatchMetadataUpdate(1, 10000)(ERC-4906) right after. - Layer files — send us the artist's layer PNGs (1466×1466, transparent, one file per trait value, named exactly like the on-chain strings) so forged whales render as real composites instead of the original art. Until then the whale page shows "render pending layer files".
- Rewards — confirm what Krill can buy (whacky bags, wheel entries, WL) so the leaderboard pays out.
Technical note: a dive is an on-chain burn — the holder calls burn(tokenId) on the real contract; The Deep observes Transfer(from, 0x0, id) logs and credits Krill and Relics. No new contract, no approvals, no custody.
